Turnips were never cheaper than they are at present in the Balclutha district (says our correspondent). In numbers of places sheep are being fattened on hi 3 turnips at 3d a head per week, whereas at the beginning of the winter the price was 5d a head. Other grgziers have purchased good turnips at £o per acre for eating off.
