LORD JELLICOE’S AUNT. LONDON, June 27. The death is announced of Lord Jellicoe’s aunt, Miss Catherine Jellicoe, aged 104. The Jelliooe family has been noted for longevity. Miss Catherine Jellicoe’s cousin, Miss Grace Gardiner, also an aunt of Lord Jellicoe, died at Seton in 1921 at the age of 105. Her sister attained the age of 90, and she has a brother living aged 93. SIR JOHN BADDELEY. LONDON. June 28. The death is announced of Sir John Baddeley, ex-Lord Mayor of London. Sir John Baddeley was born in December, 1842, and was knighted in 1922. He had been a member of the Gommon Council since 1886. He was sheriff of the City of London from 1908 to 1909. and Lord Mayor of London from 1921 to 1922. FRANK ALFRED HOWSON. NEW YORK, June 29. The death is announced of Frank Alfred Howson, the Australian composer and musical director, aged 85 years. CUNUFFE-OWEN. NEW YORK, July 1. The death is announced of Mr Frederick Cunliffe-Owen, a well-known journalist. M. EMILE COUE. PARIS, July 3. The death Is announced of M. Emile Coue. Ai. Emile Coue was born at Troyes, France in 1862. He studied pharmacy and practised for 30 years in his native town. He devoted his time particularly to the practical applications of psychology, and formulated certain theories as to the cure of various mental and physical ills. Autosuggestion was the corner-stone of all 'his theories. He published several books on auto-suggestion and his system. He was at the time of his death president of the Bociety of Applied Psychology of Lorraine.
