SHEEPSKINS MINUS EARS.

SEVERAL PROSECUTIONS. DANNEVIRKE, June 24. Several cases were heard before the Magistrate (Mr J. L. Stout), in which the defendants were charged with having sheepskins in their possession, minus the ears. One was charged with knowingly purchasing 35 sheepskins from which the ears had been removed, and also with being in possession of them. He was fined £lO on the first charge, with 7s costs, and on the second be was convicted and ordered to pay 7s costs. Several others were fined £2 each and ceels.
