The new 70ft turntable at the Linwood railway yards is now ready for service; Its construction was rendered necessary by tho larger type of engines coming into use. The largest A.B.’s are 62ft in length, and the majority of the others are over 56ft, necessitating tho provision of an improved turntable. The constfuction of still larger turntables is contemplated for the near future.
