The town clerk of Christchurch hae received a letter from Mr C. J. M'Kenzie, Acting Engineer-in-Chief and Under-Secro-tary for Public Works, stating that the contention of the City Council that it has the right to nominate the member representing the local bodies in No. 10 Motor Omnibus District on the Transport Appeal Board, is correct, and that thoro is no necessity for the holding of a conference to consider the matter.
