ATI! FI ELD.—In loving remembrance of Gunner David Athfield, who died of wounds received “Somewhere in France," on June 3, 1917. Gone is the face we loved so dear, Silent the voice we loved to hear; Gone too far for flight and speech, But not too far for our thoughts to reach. —lnserted by hia loving father, mother, brothers, and sisters. COLLlE.—Company Sergeant-major Arthur Earl Collie, 8,862, Main Body, who wao killed at Messines on June 7, 1917.—Inserted by liis loved ones. CEORGE.-On June 7, 1917, killed while in action at Messines, 25/631 Rifleman Edwin George, third son of the late Mr and Mrs W. H. George, Naseby.—“He gave his life, his best, his all.” JONES.—In fond and loving memory of our dear son and brother, 35024 Lancecorporal Kenneth Jones, who departed this life June 7, 1924. Just as his life was sweetest. Just as his hopes were best, God took him from a world of sorrow To a home of eternal rest. brothers,- and sisters. THOMPSON. —In loving memory of our dear son, Private Geary Gibson Thompson, who died on June 7, 1917, from wounds received while in action at Messines. “We miss him most who loved him best."— Inserted by his loving parents, sister, and brother. WHEELER.—In sad and loving remembrance of our dearly beloved brother, Private Dan Wheeier, 19th Reinforcements, killed in action in the battle of Messines, on June 7, 1917; dearly beloved second son of the late William and Marion Wheeler, Hath street. Sadly missed. In a distant iand lie lies At rest in a soldier’s grave. His battle fought, his name enrolled On the scroU of the deathless brave. A lonely grave in a far-off land, A grave we may never see. But while life and memory last We will remember thee. —lnserted by his sorrowing sisters and brothers.
