DRUNKEN MOTORISTS.
SUBSTANTIAL FINE IN AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND. May 6.
For being found in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motor car Ernest Henry Burbidge was fined £lO in the Polio© Court to-day It waa stated that the accused had no intention of driving the car. CASE AT DANNEVIRKE. DANNEVIRKE, May 6. George Eaton, who is said to be a visitor from Auckland, was arrested yesterday for being in charge of a motor car while drunk. He was fined £5 in the court this morning. The accused was seen by a constable driving an erratic course in the main streets and was arrested. FINE OF £lO INFLICTED. WELLINGTON, May 6. At the Magistrate’s Court to-day, John Thomas Watson was fined £lO and his license waa suspended for one month for being drunk while in charge of a motor car.
