SUICIDAL INTENTION FEARED. WAIPUKURAU, May 6. A sensation has been caused in the Waipukurau and Porongahau districts by the disappearance of the daughter of a wellknown settler, whose absence was discovered on Monday morning, a note having been left, it is stated, to the effect that her body would be found in the river. Search parties have been out ever since, but as yet no trace has been found of the young woman or of her body. The missing woman is Miss Thelma White, a daughter of Mr E. J. White, of Porongakuu.
