An inquiry into the aeroplane disaster at Papanui on March 17 was to have been commenced this week as it was believed that Lieutenant Turner, who survived the crash with severe injury, would be discharged from hospital and be strong enough to give evidence. To-day it was learned from the police that Lieutenant Turner’s condition was still .veak. He is in a highly nervous state and the inouirv has been postponed. Probably it will do held in about 10 days’ time when it is hoped that Lieutenant Turner will be quite fit.
