ROLLER cultivator. in tins lmnlement the harrow teeth are mounted in front of the rollers on a cross bar of the frame. The members of the frame ape linked to fixed arms on a

rocker shaft pivoted in the end frames of the roller. The rocker shaft is turned by a threaded rod and the frame thus raised or lowered to alter the working depth of the teeth.

DISC HARROW CONTROL. A vertical lever is pivoted on the harrow tongue here and its lower end linked to the inner ends of the gangs. At each end of this lever is a rod connecting with a notched cam on the sliding draft head.

When the -iiarrow is backed the cam pulls the upper lever and pushes the lower one, thus angling the gangs. When the harrow is backed a second time the reverse occurs and the gangs are straightened.

EVENER

The singletrees here are nivotally connected to each other by top and bottom straps. Each singletree is connected to a pulley and a cable is run from the end

singletree over pulleys on the evener, then through the pulley of the next singletree, back to the evener and so on to the last singletree.

COULTER-CLEANER.

On each side of the coulter axle is a bracket with a hole through which a rod is placed. At one end these rods are

connected to the coulter arms. On the other end are scraper blades held against the coulter springs.

RAKE ATTACHMENT FOR CORN PLANTERS.

■ The object of this device is to filk in inequalities in the seed bed, particularly hoof marks, so that even planting and covering will be made. The rake is pivot-

ally mounted in brackets and connected by a rod to a hand lever, so that it may be swung out of horizontal and clear of the ground.

WEEDING MACHINE.

The cutter of this machine consists of a metal rod twisted in spiral fashion and having its edges sharpened. It is revolved rapidly by gear connection with

a ground wheel and its supporting frame is adjustable for height. It is claimed that it will cut the weeds close to the ground.
