AN AUCKLAND MYSTERY.
TWO YOUNG PEOPLE MISSING. AUCKLAND, April 30. Mystery surrounds the disappearance of a boy and girl aged 19 and 17 years respectively, who are known to have left the city in a hired five-sea ter Chevrolet car earfy last Friday evening, but have not been seen since. Grave anxiety is felt by the parents of the young people. The young man was employed as a clerk in an Auckland office, and on Friday hired a car for the week-end Shortly after 7 o’clock on Friday evening he called in the car at his lodgings in Owens road, Mt. Eden, and then drove to Ponsonby road, where the girl wee employed as a domestic. JShe had told her employers she intended to do some shopping in town, but was not seen again. She bad been keeping company with the young man for some time, ft is stated the young man took a .22 calibre rifle away with him.
