The yoar 1925 was a most satisfactory one in regard to trade in Samoa, being an improvement on the Previous vear to the extent of £89.156. Exports totalled £379,388 and imports £345,989, or a total trado value of £725.377. The balance of trade in Samoa’s favour was therefore £33,399. This record had onlv been exceeded on two nrovious ocas ions— namely, during the two boom years of 1919 and 1920. when the comparatively figures reached wore entirely duo to excessive importations and high prices. Among the students recently called to the Bar was the Baroness Clifton# a peeress in her own right.
