BAND’S HOLIDAY TRIP

The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders’ Band left bv the 8.30 a.m. train yesterday for Queenstown, where the men will spend five days’ recreation in preparation for the busy Christmas season at the Exhibition. The holiday trip has been arranged by the Mayor (Mr H. L. Tapley, M.P.). and the Mayor of Queenstown has arranged for a civic reception to be tendered the band to-day The bandmaster (Mr F. J. Ricketts) anil Captain Anderson will accompany the men. The band will return, to Dunedin on Friday, and the usual daily programmes will be continued on Saturday.
