OMAKAU SHOW.
Tho Central Otago A. and P. Association was favoured with fine weather for its Annual show at Omakau on Wednesday, And a iarge number of settlers from the surrounding counties made up an excellent Attendance. The entries in most sections were on a par with last year’s. The dairy produce and baking classes, however, showed ft marked increase on last year’s figures. Tho committee, and specially the secretary (Mr T. Duggan), deserve great credit for the way the arrangements were carried out under groat difficulties. The feature of the show was the horse display. Tho draughts were a particularly fine-looking and well-bred bunen. Tho thoroughbreds, though of good auelity, were few in number, only two classes being contested. The light horse And hackney classes provided better competition and a greater variety of types and quality. Great interest was shown in the fight norse judging and the competitions.
