A warning against peoplo with goitre dosing themselves with any form of iodine was issued at Gisborne by Dr Eleanor Baker MLaglen, who said that all marked cases, and all those which showed toxic symptoms should be under the caro of a doctor. The troatment which had 'been undertaken in the schools was preventive rather than curative. The doctor, who has nearly completed her work of examining representative schools throughout the Dominion, and who is now visiting Wairoa, said that it was probable that in the near future tho Health Department would issue some definite advice on the subject of tho prevention ©f goitre.
