“Tho night goods trains are being very well supported; we get away a full load night,” said a railway official at Christchurch (states the Lyttelton Times), The official mentioned that the department was making a specialty of carrying parcels by the night expresses and the prompt delivery at the other end was greatly appreciated. Tho trains were also proving of great benefit to the Postal Deportment for the of mails.
