MOTOR-CYCLE RACING.

MARLBOfeCUGH CLUB’S MEETING. BLENHEIM, December 6. The Marlborough Motor Cycle Club's annual meeting was held at Waterlea on Saturday in good weather, and before a huge crowd. Three or four minor accident# occurred, but nobody was seriously hurt. In the South Island Middle-weight Championship, for machines GOO cc or under, there were seven competitors, and the winner turned up in R. J. Hore (Christchurch) oft a 3J h.p. Douglas, who did 10 miles in 9min 35 4-osec. Hore also won the Waterlea Handicap, was third in the Marlborough Cup, fourth in the Brooklands Handicap, and during the afternoon he also lowered the flying mile record for 3J horse-power machines, by covering the journey in 51 2-seeo, The previous record was 52 4-5, established last year at Takapuna by H. Moller, of New Plymouth. During one of the races Hore actually covered a mile in 50sec. Webbey (3J Norton) was second in the Championship, and L. Maughan (3£ Harley) was third.
