Several more animals and birds have been ordered for the Auckland Zoo including from India a pair of nilghai, a female leopard to replace the one which died recently, a pair of monaul pheasants, six flamingoes, and six more peacocks. The male hippopotamus purchased in London j due to arrive by the Kent about August 16. The female orang-outang is rapidly recovering from any ill-effects of her long sea trip.
