OTAGO EARLY SETTLERS’ ASSOCIATION.
The monthly meeting of the committee of the Early Settlers' Association was held on Tuesday, Mr John Hope (president) occupying the chair. The following gifts were received and votes of thanks passed to the donors: —From the family, framed photographs of the late Mr and Mrs John Allan, Bellfield, Taieri—Mr Allan (Emily, 1848), Mrs Allan (Mooltan. 1849); from A. M'Kegg, Pembroke, framed portraits of his parents, Mr and Mrs Amoa M'Kegg, late of Henley—Mr M'Kegg (Empress of the Seas, 1661), Mrs M'Kegg, ne* Murray (Stormcloud, 1860). The following deaths were reported:—Geo. Adams, Palmerston South (98), Strathallan, 1858; A. A. Fleming, North-East Valley (79). City of Dunedin, 1868; Mrs R. Meikle, Russell street (87), arrived December, 1864; Alexander Thomson, Stafford street (81), arrived sixties; Mrs R. Lamb, Clinton (88), Robert Henderson, 1858; Mrs Simon Aitchison, Methven, Henrietta, 1860; Thomas Craig, Riccarton, Taieri \B6), Resolute, 1864; Harry Wilton, Oamaru, Chile, 1863. The following early settlers were enrolled! —Mrs James Stevens, 2 Chamberlain street, Maori Hill (Robert Henderson, 1S60); Milton \V. Fleming, Titiroa. Southland (Lady Milton, 1863); K. M. Paterson, Ayrburn Station, Afrowtown (sixties). Eight descendants wern also enrolled.
