On Tuesday evening Mrs Ernest Macassey arranged a dance in the Plaza Tea Rooms in aid of St. John Ambulance. On Thursday afternoon Miss Joacliim organised a tea and cabaret afternoon in the Overseas Club rooms to help the art stall in aid of the St. John Ambulance Bazaar. Dancing was enjoyed to the gramaphone, and delicious tea was much appreciated by all present.

Hoyes, etc. Mr and Mrs J. Davidson, of Wellington, are staying at the Star Hotel. Miss J. Murray is the guest of Miss R. Whyte, at Hamilton. Mrs Reginald Birch, of Wellington, is staying with Mi's Roy Towle (Market road, Eemuera). Mrs Birch came to Auckland to meet her husband, who is arriving by the Corinthic from London. Miss Millward is the guest of Mrs C. Millward, Gonville, Wanganui. Mrs Warnock, who has been visiting Mrs H. A. Morrison, of Dannevirke, returns home next week. Mr and Mrs Noel Adams are staying with relatives in Nelson. Mrs A. K. England, of Christchurch, is visiting her daughter, Mrs Norman Henley, at Ellerslie. Mrs Walter Moore, of Dunedin, accompanied by Miss Coates, of Whangarei, has returned home. , Sir Edwin and Lady Mitchelson and Miss Mitchelson, who have been on a short visit to Honolulu, have returned to Auckland. Sir Edwin has received much benefit from the delightful trip, and will take up Parliamentary duties in Wellington this Miss Joan Cleghorn is spending a couple of months in Honolulu. Mrs Harold Brookfield, of Wanganui, returns home this week, after a short stay in Auckland.
