On Wednesday last the students of Otago University held high carnival. Arrayed in varied garb, in new, old, and quaint vehicles, on horse, and on foot they joined in procession at midday. The rest of the day was spent in frolic and fun, and a merry time it was. The camera shows the students in motley, impersonating well-known citizens, caricaturing popular movements, or in such original creations as suited the individual whim. (Forsyth and Gore, photo.)
