The wild pig nuisance is being so acutely fell in the Ngamatapouri and Makakaho districts that the settlers have arranged lo have a series of nig drives before the lambing season. As showing the number of wild pigs in the district it is interesting to note that one party of bushmen last year shot no fewer than 886 pigs in their spare time.
