FARMERS’ HEAVY LOSSES. WELLINGTON, May 26. At the meeting of the Board of Agriculture feeling reference was made by the president and members of the board to the heavy losses sustained by farmers in various portions of New Zealand as a. result of the recent floods. A motion of sympathy with those who suffered was pa.ssed unanimously, and the hope expressed that with public and Government assistance settlers would soon be able to rehabilitate themselves.
