In describing the wonderful work performed by Sea and Boy Scouts during the war period, Brigadier-General Andrew, at the reception accorded him at Palmerston North, stated that, in England, 1300 Sea Scouts had relieved ICOO coastguards anil had patrolled the coasts in their stead. Their work had been given official recognition by the Admiralty.
