PUBLICATIONS RECEIVED.

We have received copies of the two editions of Whitaker’s Almanac for 1923, which came to hand from the publishers by the last mail. The popular edition in paper cover consists of 600 pages. and is sold for 3s net. The half-bound edition in red and green cloth consists of 904 pages. It is impossible in a small space to give more than a slight idea of the vast amount of information in the Almanac and its usefulnesss as a work of reference. The index contains upwards of 10,COO references, and the popular edition contains upwards of 750,000 words. Much of the information refers to the United Kingdom and Ireland, but there is a section devoted tn foreign countries, while in the dearer edition there are summaries of remarkable events of the year and of prowess in science, art, the drama, astronomy, etc.
