LORD NORTHCLIFFE’S ESTATE.

LONDON, December 22. A case in the Probate Court concerning Lord Northcliffe's estate was opened. After evidence had been taken regarding the signature of the will and certain codicila, the proceedings were adjourned. During the hearing a surprise was ere ated by a woman, whose name was not revealed, appearing in court. The judge asked what she wished, but she could not be heard plainly. The judge asked: “Is it a claim for money?’’ The woman answered “Yes.” The Judge: “Do yon claim that you have a will in your favour; or that you represent a family w r ho intend to have the will set aside?” The woman: “Yes, I ask leave to enter a caveat.” The judge told her that she must not interfere with the present oroceedings, but she would have an opportunity of being heard at a later stage.
