The result of the boring which Mr A. W. Rodger has undertaken with the object of proving the extent of the Ohai coalfield has been most satisfactoy. At the present time the bore is down 780 ft, and has penetrated a coal seam to a depth of 10ft, and is still in coal; the quality of which is said to be equal to, if not better than, the beat Ohai coal Summertime is Hay-fever-time.
