SUMMER SHOW. According to the schedule Saturday was the last day for receiving entries for the Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s Summer Show which is to he hold at the end of the month. It has been decided, however, to extend the final date for receiving entries until Wednesday next, as numerous requests w r oro received by the secretary to do so. It is apparent, from the nnmlier of entries already received, that there will be good competition in many of the sections,

ns they represent numerous exhibitors from both north ana south. Every effort, is being made to ensure that no delay will occur in tile conveyance of show stock. The Railway Department will grant holiday excursion rates to bona fide attendants travelling in charge of show stock. This is a direct advantage to exhibitors, and will ensure stock receiving personal attention during transit. The committee confidently anticipates that this year’s show will be quite equal to those ot previous years. Though there will not lie the great- display ot agricultural implements which is considered to be one of the features of a show, there will be the usual display of njo for vehicles and other accessories. Holiday excursion tickets will be issued between Lyttelton and Bluff, anci intermediate stations from Monday. November 27, to Friday, December 1.
