John, little did I think When first I cradled thee, That on the field' of France You’d die so far away from me. Only a grave of a hero, Only a mound of earth, Far from the land of fern, The spot that gave him birth. T Hunt, No. 82022, died of pneumonia, Cannock Chase, England, November 7, 1918; and Rifleman J. P. A. Hunt, No. 72246, killed in action at Le Quesnoy, France, October 26, 1918. So loved, so mourned. —lnserted by their loved ones. WILSON.—In loving memory of Private Albert Wilson, 9/2007, who died at Dunedin, November 10, 1921. One year has passed away, dear Bert, Since we sat beside your bed, And held your hand in silence, As your life was on the ebb.
