PRICE OF NEWSPRINT
100 PER CENT. OVER PRE-WAR PRICES. WELLINGTON, October 25. At a meeting of the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association held to-day to consider lenders for next year’s supply of newsprint paper, the meeting expressed keen disappointment that no reduction had been made in the cost of newsprint, which, as disclosed by the tenders, shows an increase of 100 per cent, over pre-war prices.
