All races to be run under the N.Z. Rule 3 of Racing. Entries by telegram must be confirmed in writing at the earliest possible opportunity, tinder a penalty of 2sovs. All horses and jockeys shall return to the front of the Stand, and shall remain in the vicinity thereof in charge of the Clerk of the Course until directed by the starter to proceed to the starting post. No jockey shall, after leaving the Birdcage, speak to, or hold any communication with, any person other than a Steward, the Starter, or his ass.stant, or the Clerk of the Course. In all handicap races, except two-year-olds, where not otherwise stated, the minimum weight will be 7st. Owners and Trainers will only be admitted to the Bird-cage immediately before and directly after any race in which they have a horse engaged. The winner of any race after the declaration of weights may be rehandicapped. Entries and Acceptances close at 5 p.m. at the Club's Office, Dunedin, on their respective dates, unless notified to the contrary. The Committee or Stewards reserve the right at any time to alter -or curtail the subjoined Programme, or to abandon any Meeting if they consider it advisable.
