INSCRIPTION AND COAT OF ARMS AT AVON TYRELL. A stone with Inscription and New Zealand Coat of Arms above the chapel door of Lord Manners’ Convalescent Home for New Zealand officers at Avon Tyrell, in the New Forest. It was placed there by the many officers of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force who spent a few short days recovering from wounds. Mr W. G. Wood, solicitor, of Napier, has been solely responsible for this effort.
