HIS SERVICES TO THE EMPIRE. LONDON, January 24. Air Lloyd George, on behalf of Cabinet and the British peoples, has sent a cable gram to the Prince of Wales expressing appreciation of the spirit with which he is fulfilling his high undertakings in India. They looked forward keenly to welcome him home from the great Imperial mission which he has successfully performed. The Prince, In replying, acknowledged the cordiality and goodwill shown him by the princes and people of India during his. travels. Fie will feel nroud if his visit in any way fosters mutual understanding and unity throughout the British Empire. RECEPTION AT HYDERABAD. DELHI, January 25. Tiie Prince of Wales had a splendid re ception at Hyderabad. Great crowds of natives assembled along the five mile route of the Royal procession, testifying their hearty and sincere loyalty. There was no sign of anything in the shape of a boycott or political strife. The city and the bazaars were lavishly decorated and illuminated, Fourteen thousand girl and

boy students from various institutions were distributed in stands along the route. Many sightseers took their places early in the morning, and w aited for Lours The ceremonial proceedings were marked by much splendour and elaborate etiquette. The Nizam of Hyderabad appeared to be determined to outdo all other native rulers in the lavishness and magnificence of the reception. % •DEMONSTRATION OF LOYALTY. DELHI. January 26. The Prince of Wales, at Hyderabad,, reviewed the Nizam’s troops. It was an imposing* spectacle. The route to the review ground covered seven miles. It was lined with brightly-dressed and demonstratively loyal crowds.
