Many calves are lost every year through scouring, and dairy farmers will welcome a remedy. Mr .T. Johns, the well-known farmer o-f Waitoa, lost several of his valuable heifer calves—four dying only a few days before he heard of “Faterine.” This is what Mr Johns says about “FATERINE” Waitoa, October 9, 1920. “I had been feeding my calves on whey and caif meal, but find the calves are now thriving on whey and ‘Faterine,’ and there is go sign of scours. I find there is a considerable saving of money and time when using whey with ‘Faterine’ as compared with the calf food meal and whey. Calves take to ‘Faterine’ more readily. After using ‘Faterine’ for four days the calves (25) had stopped scouring, and at the end of seven days there was no sign of colds. The calves are now looking much more healthy and their coats have a nice sleek appearance. “When it becomes known 'Faterine ’ will be used by all dairymen throughout New Zealand. It is just what is required, as it is simple to use, no time lost boiling or scalding as is the case with caif meals.” J. Johns. “FATERINE” is a substitute for the butter-fat removed from skim milk or whey. It is an animal fat easily digested by all animals, with no chemicals added, and ia exactly like butter-fat in its action. Mix with skim milk or whey only. No scalding or boiling required.
