The ! aims of the association were put before j Dunedin Sunday school workers by a deputation from Auckland about a month ago, and the various Protestant denominations I were asked to consider their attitude to the ; proposal and report to hist night’s meeting. | Mr J. Abernethy was voted to the chair, j and Mr G. \V. Carrington appointed secre- | tary pro tern. There were some 40 Sunday tchuol workers present, over three-fourths of these being men. After discussion,, in which it was made evident there was unwillingness to give ip the precent denominational unions, Mr G. \\. F. Iriglis seconded the motion. A Provisional Committee was set up, consisting of: Messrs 11. Chapman (Methodist). D. IV. Kaye (Presbyterian), ('. J. Moody (Congregational), \V. B. QuomHl (Baptist , and 1. Arnold (Church of Chrisl). Mr Carrington agreed to act ns interim secretary and to convene the first meriting.
