TREATMENT OF CANCER

LONDON, July 24. 'Medical science is at last in possession of a method for the treatment of cancer fropi which much is hoped. A tube has been constructed which is capable of directing immensely powerful rays on to the ali'ected part of a body. It is hoped to persuade the affected tissues to absorb the rays. Medical opinion is that it is too early to say whether or not the tissues will absorb the rays sufficiently to effect a complete cure. Ike new method was lengthily and secretly discussed by the British Medical Association’s Conference. A prominent doctor said that in a year's time we would know much.
