Canadian is quoted at 136 s to 14t)s, c.i.f., equal to about 150 s hero. Wheat and Flour.—The market is quiet and unchanged. Peas and Beans.—The market is quiet and firm. Wheat.—F reights are hardening. Owners are asking 70s. Sugar.—Granulated, 59s 6d. E-abbitskins.—There is a better demand by furriers, especially for New Zealand's. Prices are unchanged. For hatters there is good competition at late rates. Inferior grades ore dull at about 15 per cent, decline. New Zealand prime winter does, 95d to 105 d; firsts, 70d to 75d. July 30. Mutton.—South American, heavy, 4£d; Patagonian, light, 6£d. Lamb. —Canterbury light, 13Id ; medium, 13ad; heavy, ll|ct; Australian, none offering. At a meeting of the Union Bank of Australia it was decided to create an additional 100,000 £ls shares, of which £lO will not bo called up except in the event of the bank be:ng wound up. The chairman said that under thy present financial conditions it was difficult to say when the opportunity of making the issue might arise. It might be iu October or in the spring. Onions: Victorian, £4 to £3 10s. ADELAIDE, J uly 28. Oats, 2s ±l, 2s Gd. PRIVATE CABLES. Messrs Dalgety and Co. (Limited) report having received the following cable from London, dated 27tli inst.:—“ 2475 casks of tallow offered; 1175 casks sold. A quiet demand at unchanged prc:s. There will bo no public sales next week.” Messrs Dalgety and Co. (Limited) report having received Hie following cable from, London:—‘‘24oo bales of rabbitskins off rod; 1 GOO of which were sold; attendance very good; competition animated. Best winters, 10 per cent, higher;/ good incoming and autumn. 10 to 20 per cent, higher. Best hatters, market very firm at last quotations; inferior, about 15 per cent, lower ” Messrs Dalgety and Co. report having received the following cable from London, dated 22nd inst.: —“Butter steady, at tbo advance. We quote Australian, 217 sto 2455; New Zealand, 259 sto 2G2s; Danish, quiet, 2663 to 2705. We have buyers for New Zealand first grade at 2245, c.i.f.e., shipment per steamer during September. Cheese is rather quieter. New Zealand white, 131 sto 138 s; coloured, 126 s to 1325.” The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has received the following cablegram from London, dated July 27: Frozen Meat.—Mutton, s£d to Sfd per lb; lamb. Is l£d per lb; beef, hindquarters sgdi per lb, forequarters 3£d per lb (market weak). Butter. —No change in market fox New Zealand. Cheese. —No change in the market. Tallow.—Small demand for fine mutton.
