NEW ZEALAND NURSES’ MEMORIAL FUND
The fourth annual repent of the committee of ihe Xew Zealand Nurses’ Memorial Fund contains the following clauses: — The capital sum, all of which is invested in New Zealand War Loan, has been increased by £SOO. and now stands at £9750, with a cash balance in hand of £525, making a total increase in our assets of £542 over the figures of the previous rear. Relief has bvon granted to the amount of £439, or £lls m excess of the year before. Of this, £35 was provided by the Feriiinan Fund, alluded to in our last annual report, as being devoted specially to win* nurses, and this fund is now exha listed. Nine nurses received annuities during the year (a tenth annuitant has since been add d , and the amount, of annuities to \vhi< h the fund is now committed very nearly equals the total income from investment.-*. 11l is to lu* y‘ grci tod that. When the capital sum becomes available a much larger amount of relief can, of course, be afforded.
