FRANCE DISGUSTED LEIPZIG, July 11 Generals von Shack and von Korasha, who were charged with causing the deaths of French prisoners in 1918 at NiederZwehren, have been acquitted. The French witnesses have been withdrawn. An Alsatian interpreter testified that precautions were not taken to prevent the spread of spotted typhus, which was in troduced by verminous Russians. Von Shack proved that he was not responsible Kruska pleaded that it was not then known that vermin carried disease. He was ordered to mix the prisoners for local labour purposes. He personally was not responsible. The doctors treated the vie tims for bronchitis and several attendants on the doctors’ personnel died from the same disease LONDON, July 11. In the House of Commons Mr Chamberlain said that France’s action in withdrawing from the Leipzig trials was taken without consulting Britain.
