At an adjourned inquest concerning the death of an illegitimate female child, found dead on June 30 in a dress has!; tit in a room m the (united ♦Service Hotel, J_)i* Pearson deposed that a number of wounds wem visible on (lie child’s hack, and the spinal cord had been injured. In reply to the coroner, witness said the smaller wounds mi.e'ht have been caused after death, but the neck wounds, and those on the back, were inflicted during- life. The coroner found that death was due to an incised wound which had been intention dl\ caused. After the inquest, Hilda Louisa Hurgess, lb years and eight, months old, was charged that üb.v t July 1 she murdered her illegitimate female child. Application by the p'ditv for a remand was granted
