RAT ANA’S WORK.
RECOGXITTOX BY WELLINGTON DIODES AX SYNOD. \YELLINGTON. July 8. Recognition for the work of To.hu "Wii emu Katana, the faith-healer, was sought by the Rev. W. G. Williams (superintendent ot ti:e Diocesan Maori Mission) at lest night's sitting of the Wellington Diocesan Synod. Mr Williams moved — “1 hat this Synod i.' of opinion flint somo notice should be take n by the Church of the teaching and work of Katana.” A lengthy -discussion followed, during which the need of greater faith in religion was stressed, and finally the following motion was passed: That this Synod sends greetings to Ratana, and expresses its thankfulness for the great moral and spiritual-revival resulting fr-'in his work among the Maoris, and prays for < Sod's continued blessing upon his work for the future.
