At this week's meeting of tho Seamen’s Union a resolution was adopted fining three members for delaying the Maramu at Papeele on May 6 £2 5s each. Another member was fined £l2 3s 6d by the union for delaying the Kakapo at Bluff on June 4. The amount includes the cost entailed by Sunday sailing. The Union Company had asked Hie union to forgo the crew’s extra pay for Sunday departure, which tho union declined to accede to. Absence from the ships occasioned delay in both instances.
