RAILWAY ACCIDENTS.
AGONISIN' G SCENES. PARIS, June 25. Further details of the railway accident show that the heat caused the rails to expand, and that the axle oroke as the train was passing Beaucourt Hamel. The luggage 'van left the rails, dragging the last three carriages with it. The van rolled fnto the river A era. Three carriages fell down the embankment and were smashed to splinters. Horn ole scenes were witnessed, arms waving frantically amongst the wreckage, Out it was impossible to render aid. Some women begged to he killed if their agony could not be relieved. This place was the scene of heavy fighting in 1916. [The Lille-Puris express was derailed at Beaucourt, on the Somme. Twenty seven were killed and 62 injured.} FIFTY PASSENGERS MISSING. DELHI, June 27. A railway accident occurred on the Moradabad -Delhi train. A bridge col lapsed, precipitating the train into the flooded river. Fifty passengers are missing. They were probably drowned. The back carriages escaped.
