A MISSING STEAMER.

SYDNEY, June 27. Although no sign of the Canastota haa been seen, the Alaheno reports sighting a floating hatch cover 200 miles from Sydney, but did not stop to investigate. July 3. Sydney marine circles favour an exhaustive search for the missing Canastota in the vicinity of Lord Howe Island. It ia stated that the absence of wreckage is probably a sign that the vessel is still drifting.
