BURKE'S BREWERY IN THE SEVENTIES. The brewery was practically burnt down many years ago. The barrels of beer were con eyed on trolleys along the jetty for transport by steamer to Dunedin. The jetty has also long since disappeared. There was no railway station at Burkes m the seventies.
