THE SIX DEMANDS. WELLINGTON, April 1. The mine-owners have intimated to the Minors’ Federaifpon that they .are prepared to meet their representatives in conference to discuss the matter of the new agreement, but will not guarantee to commit themselves to a settlement on the six demands previously objected to by them, which they described as far-fetched. When the claims were before the employers before they declined to agree to a conference until these clauses wore withdrawn. The mine-owner: state that they cannot conceive any argument which will modify their decision that it is impossible to agree to the six items. Friday, April 15, is the suggested date of the conference.
