6 4.STORAL RUNS. AND SETTLEMENT LAND FOR SELECTION BY DISCHARGED SOLDIERS. TEYIOT RUNS AND TEYIOT SETTLEMENT. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Teviot Runs and Teviot Settlement will be opened for Selection by Discharged Soldiers at this Office on 29th MARCH, 1921. The land comprises 12 runs ranging in area from 2382 acres to 5760 acres. _ The successful applicants for these runs will be required to take leases expiring at the same time as the run licenses over the areas of settlement lands attached, to the runs. This settlement land ranges in area from 551 acres to 1046 acres. In addition, the undermentioned Land in Teviot Settlement may be Purchased for Cash or on Deferred Payment, or Selected on Renewable Lease for a term of 33 years with right of renewal for successive terms of 33 years. Twenty sections ranging in area from 427 acres to 1384 acres and in half-yearly rentals from £7B t.o £238. Five of the runs are situated on the Teviot River about 14 miles from Miller’s Flat. The country is undulating, with a northerly aspect. Altitude from 1800 ft to 2300 ft. " The remaining seven runs are situated to the north of the Teviot River, ahout 6 to 18 miles from Roxburgh. The land i 3 undulating, one-half having a southerly aspect, the remainder northerly. Altitude ahout 1500 ft to 3600 ft.. The settlement sections are situated about 5 miles from Miller’s Flat and about 20 miles from Beaumont Railway Station. Each sections contains a large proportion of ploughable land.
