ANNUAL CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW.

The Beard of Agriculture has decided to reoommend that an annual championship •haw be held yearly, alternately in the North and South Islands. A ballot is to be taken as to whether the first show will be held in the North or South Island. The Government is to be asked to give £IOOO as prize money for championships. An association applying for the champion show must have given a minimum of £IOOO as prize money for the previous two years, must offer £2OOO, at least, as prize money for the champion show, and must have a membership of not less than 1200. Sir James Wilson, Mi W. Perry, and Dr Reakes were, appointed a sub-committee to arrange for a ballot between the North and South, to draft a suitable prize list for the champion •how, and to receive applications from societies desirous of holding a champion show, and to see that the foregoing conditions are complied with.
