Vi ELL-LsCi J OX, (March 1. Cabinet has accepted tenders as follow : For the supply of 10,000 tons of steel rails and fishplates for railing purposes, John Diithie and Co. (Wellington). The contract priee was £l7 Os 5d per ton for the rails, and S2l Is 3d per ton for the fishplates. The total amount of the contract is £176,068 <:s 4d. Garage at Addington, George White (jLinwood), £2261; four electrical 250 k transformers, Lake Coleridge scheme, the National Electric American Company, £3137; four 120 k transformers, the same company, £2046. Conversion rate for £1 sterling is lixed at four dollars. One 100 k three-phase transformer, Tolley and Son, (Wellington), £930.
