OLD BOYS’ SOCIETY. The sixth annual meeting of the Otago High School Old Boys’ Society was held *vr A son ’ 9 board room on the Ist. Mr S. Solomon (president) occupied the chair, and there was a good attendance of members. The Chairman, in moving the adoption of the report aud balance sheet, stated that <^ le r>c G T eMUe <^ur * n S the year had amounted to £sll 78 Bd, and the expenditure to £2Ol. they had received the sum of £2l* towards the School Memorial Fund. He hoped the matter of the memorial would be taken up as it should be, because it would be a lasting disgrace to them if it fell through. M. r \ v ■ J- Strong seconded the motion. Mr E. Webster said that since the second circular had been sent out regarding the memorial, he had banked £loo.—(Applause.) Mr Herbert Webb asked what was t'-e actual amount in hand towards the memorial. The Secretary replied that they had ' and the £IOO mentioned by Mr Webster, less the cost of sending out the circular—about £3OO in all. The Chairman remarked that they had subscriptions promised to the amount of about another £IOO. The report and balance sheet were then adopted. The election of office-bearers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: —President, Mr W. .T- Strong: vice-presidents—Messrs W. J. Morrell and E. W T ebster; hon. treasurer, Mr C. J. Smith; hon. auditors, Messrs Barr, Lea-rv, and Co. ; committee — Messrs F. IT. Campbell, D. ,T. Colder, J. J. Mallard, E. C. Reynolds. H. Webb, G. S. Thomson. J. Calder, J. 11. Moir, E. o. Anderson, and A. C. -Aitkon.
